MediaCom's GSK Team Wins Top Prize at Valencia 06/10

MediaCom takes home campaign prize for GSK campaign

Valencia, Spain (April 20, 2010) - MediaCom took the top prize in the "Best Targeted Campaign” category for its work on behalf of GSK's "Approachable Empowerment" at the Festival of Media Awards in Valencia, Spain.

MediaCom and GlaxoSmithKline partnered with the LOGO network's popular drag queen competition show, RuPaul's Drag Race, for GSK's HIV prescription drug brand, Epzicom. The partnership centered on exclusive digital “Living with HIV” programming (“digisodes”) that lived on LOGO Online and featured the compassionate testimony of one of the show’s most popular contestants, Ongina, publicly confronting her personal story and battle with HIV.

At the ceremony in Valencia, MediaCom also received the award for Agency Network of the Year, and its UK branch took home the award for Best Communications Strategy for its T-Mobile account. Read more about MediaCom’s presence at the awards here.
